Recite this while thinking and visualizing the Goddess sitting on a white lotus with a Veena.
Sanskrit:
या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता
या वीणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपद्मासना।
या ब्रह्माच्युतशंकरप्रभृतिभिर्देवैः सदा वन्दिता
सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्यापहा ॥
Transliteration in English:-
Ya Kundendu Tushara Hara Dhavala Ya Shubhra Vastravrita
Ya Veena Varadanda Manditakara Ya Shweta Padmasana |
Ya Brahmachyuta Shankara Prabhritibhir Devaih Sada Vandita
Sa Mam Patu Saraswati Bhagavati Nihshesha Jadyapaha ||
Meaning:
"Salutations to Devi Saraswati, who is as white as the jasmine flower, the moon, and the snow; who is adorned in white garments; whose hands are graced by the Veena; who sits on a white lotus; who is always adored by Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. May that Goddess protect me and completely remove my ignorance."

सरस्वत्यै नमो नित्यं भद्रकाल्यै नमो नमः।
वेदवेदान्तवेदाङ्गविद्यास्थानेभ्य एव च ॥
Transliteration:
Saraswatyai Namo Nityam Bhadrakalyai Namo Namah |
Veda-Vedanta-Vedanga-Vidya-Sthanebhya Eva Cha ||
Meaning:
"I bow to Goddess Saraswati and the auspicious Bhadrakali. I offer my salutations to the one who is the source of all knowledge, including the Vedas, Vedanta, and the limbs of the Vedas."

- Place the Idol facing East or North on a yellow cloth.
- Pray to Lord Ganesha first to remove obstacles.
